Golf, unlike other ball games, does not have a normal playing field. Thus, it is crucial that you are able to work with different terrains and play on various courses. The most common course is nine holes or 18 holes on a course. Each hole is equipped with cups which hold the ball. Each hole has a teeing ground to start from and a putting area that contains the cup. There are a variety of standard types of terrain that lie between the tees and the green, including the fairway and rough (tall grass) and various hazards, such as water, rocks or bunkers filled with sand. Each hole on the golf course is distinctive. It can be played in match play or stroke play. Stroke play is the most well-known game, particularly at elite levels.
