Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero has been model and actress in America over a long period of time. She's best known for her role in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain as well as being the lead vocalist of Apollonia 6, a girl group. The actor and singer christened Apollonia by Prince was one of a number of female performers in the 1980s who benefited from her relationship with Prince, the Purple One. The actress was featured in numerous tiny films, such as Purple Rain's sequel Under the Cherry Moon (which she declined) as well as landing the role of Falcon Crest on the Night-Time drama Falcon Crest from 1985-1986. Apollonia's debut album was released in 1988. However, the R&B/dance tracks were not well received by the music buying public. It soon disappeared. During the following decade, Apollonia continued to perform in the field of acting (if a little off the radar), with minor television roles, films and an exercise video. Apollonia's Stay With Me album came out in 1997. In later years, after getting back to university and earning a degree for filmmaking she started her own production company. Apollonia is a multi-talented woman. She was a model, singer as well as a talent management manager. The part she played as an actress in the 1984 film Purple Rain made her a star.
