Awkwafina began as a American rapper and singer, performing sly tunes that dealt with questions of race and sexual identities with a funny twist. Before expanding into Hollywood the singer was able to perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Apart from classical music and jazz, the young Nora started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films like Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap.
